We first met Conner in Crossing Bridges as a remnant of Quinn's adolescence when Conner was one of the "hottest young actresses on primetime TV." We were also introduced to Hestia Rising, both Quinn and Chloe's favorite band, but what we weren't told at the time is that Conner is the lead singer of Hestia Rising.

In The Rise and Fall of Conner Cody, we meet 23-year-old Conner Cody right as Hestia Rising is about to release their first album. As the title suggests, Conner's journey over the next 2.5 years is a roller coaster, a story about overcoming childhood trauma, learning what love means (in all manners), and taking control of one's destiny. A little bit coming of age mixed with the pitfalls of celebrity, a healthy scoop of found family, and, of course, a generous serving of romance.

Conner is the definition of a nepo baby, the scion of two famous dynasties, including both grandmothers (Irish and Argentine actresses), her mother (also an actress), and her Irish rock star father. She's a former Hollywood wild child, although the "former" tag is debatable. She's also a certified Casanova, preferring casual entanglements as her relationships always seem to end in drama.

"You already know I'm Conner fucking Cody!"
"You already know I'm Conner fucking Cody!"
And that is what I am giving you a sneak peek of today. Below you'll find absolutely amazing character art done by Elizabeth Hope (@elizabethhopeart on Instagram and Threads) for a few of the women Conner juggles, one of whom might (or might not) be the one to claim Conner's heart in the end.
"I've decided we belong together."
"I've decided we belong together."

First up, we have her on-again, off-again girlfriend, Vittoria. They drive each other crazy, but they also can't seem to quit each other. An Italian supermodel, Vittoria is worldly, sophisticated, and sexy as hell - exactly the type of person Conner has always wanted.

"It feels like yesterday to me."
"It feels like yesterday to me."

Then there's bandmate Emi, aka Conner's most recent ex. Conner can't ignore the bruise left on her heart any more than she can ignore Emi's frequent apologies. What will happen when they're stuck on a tour bus together for a year?

"You know you don't have to try so hard with me."
"You know you don't have to try so hard with me."

Conner has enjoyed a friends with benefits arrangement with professional basketball player Lindsey for a while, and it suits both of them just fine. So fine, in fact, that Conner can't help wondering what's stopping them from taking it further.

"You're a good person, even when you don't believe it."
"You're a good person, even when you don't believe it."

Finally there's new friend Melina. They're complete opposites in every way, and maybe that's why their friendship is so easy. She just seems to get Conner, which leaves Conner more than a little intrigued. There's just one problem: Melina is straight.

For more, you'll have to wait until July, but you can go ahead and preorder here. As always, thanks for reading!

Be kind and show love,
xoxo Chelsey
